Help reduce traffic congestion at the upper and lower campuses with a few transportation suggestions from the PTO.

  • Carpool

The PTO has created a document on which you can add your contact information if you are interested in carpooling with other families. This is a great solution, which allows you to save gas, save time, help the environment, and get to know your neighbors and fellow Audubon parents and guardians.

  • Walk or Bike

If you are close enough to campus to walk or bike ride, this is a fantastic solution. Studies have actually proven that kids who receive some exercise before the start of the school day actually perform better in school. The upper campus is equipped with bike racks so kids can lock their bikes up. If you feel more comfortable with your child walking or biking with a friend, try to find someone in the neighborhood who also attends Audubon.

  • RTA

If you are closer to school, consider the RTA! Did you know that your child is eligible to receive free tokens from school? There are bus stops all along Magazine St. The buses are comfortable, clean, and safe. Bus drivers are well trained and courteous. In order to get the tokens, your child just has to visit the front desk at school and ask for them. Some buses that will serve the new campus include: The Magazine Street bus (11), The Louisiana Bus (27) which connects with Broadmoor and Mid City and the St. Charles Streetcar Click the link below to add your information and find a neighborhood friend who your child can buddy up with.

  • Parent Chartered Bus

We will again offer bus service from New Orleans East and Mid City to the Audubon Uptown Campuses (Broadway and Live Oak) for the 2024-2025 School Year. Transportation will be provided by K & S Transportation. The parents of Audubon coordinate this service, but contracts and payment will be handled by K & S Transportation. If you are interested, please complete the contract linked below and return it with the deposit of $175 per rider to Shawn Jackson of K & S Transportation by Friday, May 19, 2024. There are 70 spaces available, and they will go fast.
